Release Notes for PB Server v1.600:
* new setting pb_sv_maxsendrate defaults to 8 (KBps); determines speed at which PB Server sends pbcl and pbag out to each client that requests an update during gameplay; prior versions were locked at 2KBps to conserve bandwidth usage during updates; with modern broadband infrastructure, some admins have asked for the ability to push PB updates out at a higher rate to clients

Stat Wiped Players and Delisted Servers from September
The effort against cheaters and padders goes on. We continue to investigate every reported case of cheating or padding in Battlefield games, then wiping the person's stats if appropriate. If you believe someone is cheating and padding, please visit this section of the EA Customer Support site for information on how to report them.
September saw a huge effort from the EA Customer Support team that resulted in over 700 Battlefield padders and cheaters having their stats wiped right down to zero. The servers they play on were also a focus for our anti-padding efforts. The team delisted 30 padding servers across both Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142.
In addition to this extensive manual effort we also continue to work on new methods to discourage stat padding. This will be combined with continuing other anti-cheating efforts as we believe everyone deserves the best playing experience possible in Battlefield.

Battlefield Cleaning Days ....
Wie Euch vielleicht schon aufgefallen ist, findet man im Ingame-Browser seit einiger Zeit weniger Server als sonst üblich.
EA hat zu einem 2. Schlag gegen die Padder & Cheater ausgeholt. So wurden nicht nur Spieler resetet, sondern gleich auch
die Padderserver abgeschaltet !

Any Battlefield player knows the joy of getting in close to your virtual enemy and cutting off their dog tags as a keepsake. Defeating them with a pistol shot ranks a close second for humiliation hilarity. That’s all well and good, however some players are simply using knifes and pistols alone for hours on end to pad out their stats. We like to call them stat padders. We also like to wipe their stats for cheating and shut down the disallowed servers they rely on
In the month of August, the EA Customer Service team dealt with 350 Battlefield 2 padders and 215 Battlefield 2142 padders with 75 servers investigated between both those games. All of us at DICE would like to thank the Battlefield support team for continuing to up the ante on their anti-stat padding efforts. These anti-cheating efforts will continue as we want to bring the best possible Battlefield experience to all those playing fairly.

.... wenn man es schon nicht auf Platz 1 in dem Ranking System schafft, so sollte es jedoch möglich sein Ruhm für einen Tag zu haben.
genau das dachte sich jetzt intel und veröffentlicht täglich die 25 besten Highway Tampa Spieler.
Wer jetzt also diese "15 Minuten " Ruhm braucht, der weis ja jetzt, was er zu spielen hat ....

Seit einigen Tagen ist nun eine offizielle Map erhältlich. Sie heißt Highway Tampa und orientiert
sich an die Panzerschlachten von Battlefield 1942.
Wer diese map noch nicht hat, der kann sie über follgenden Link bekommen:

Weiterhin wurde bekanntgegeben, dass mehr Titel von EA für den Mac portiert werden sollen.
Zukünftig können dann BF2142 der PC und MAC Gemeinde miteinander oder gegeneinander
kämpfen.
Anmerkung: Da BF2142 ein besserer Mod für BF2 ist, könnte man davon ausgehen, dass auch
BF2 auf dem MAC laufen könnte
